Born in Florence, Italy, my early contact with the Old Masters left lasting impressions which influenced my art.

I was a student at the Art Students League of New YorK. Inspired by the transparent colors and the open spaces of Fred Mitchell and John Hultberg, and the classical forms of the Florentine Renaissance, I forged my own unique dramatic style of painting.
